Our main task for the morning was to master the industrial looking top-loading washing machine in the basement as I had run out of t-shirts and knickers completely.

Big Grass
I wandered about on the farm and went round onto some of the rented out fields where the grass has been cut (the only passable ones). In the past we have walked down to the river but at the moment it's difficult as the grass in the fields is so high.

Mollie's House
I had a little explore here and there and took some photos eg of the current house, and of the old log house that was the original one when Joe's dad first settled the land and which is now completely dilapidated. There is still a bookshelf in there and the top of a gas lamp and various other metal bits and pieces. There are lots of old rusting bits of machinery around the place too with big metal wheels and grass growing all around and through them.

Mum ready for Errands Action
After a Campbells condensed pea soup lunch (soup here is accompanied by dry crackers rather then bread which is kind of weird) we went to do some errands.

Sign reads 'Where Adventure Begins'!!
First was Mark's Work Wearhouse (clever!) where they had a sale on, to get Mollie some stripy t-shirts. Then the Alpine drug store in the town centre for postcards and hearing aid batteries. Andy and I always enjoy the signs lining the main road (see pic). Next the co-op for various things and on the move blog uploading.
Then it was dinner time and we went back to Nick and Leslie's. I had had a baby migraine all afternoon and wasn't much in the mood for the standard slightly odd iceberg lettuce + warm veg combination (a bit like the irish chips AND potatoes AND a roastie garnish idea) but did eat some salad and my steak (clearly it would be unacceptable to waste the steak).
Mollie is on much better form than she was, so either we are really exciting or some of the tablets the doctor had prescribed are making a positive difference.
I was allowed to put cat food in the workshop for gingie and tortie this evening!! Unsupervised!!
